Horsham
Thriving capital of the Wimmera, a region world famous for sunshine and wheat production. With many tourist attractions itself, including a fine art gallery, Horsham is a bussling, typically Australian country centre, supporting an efficient and highly productive rural industry. Excellent shopping and even better accommodation, mean it's a very pleasant place to spend a couple of days. It.s an ideal jumping off point to explore the Grampians, as it's the nearest large town to Mount Zero, at the northern end of these rugged ranges. (In the opposite direction, The Little Desert is just a few kilometres away, off the Western Highway.)
