Its worth visiting just to ramble down the broad, sundrenched main street, which arouses memories of bush poets and tales of pioneers. Strictly speaking, Natimuk isn't part of the Grampians. But it is the nearest town to Mount Arapiles... which probably should have been part of the Grampians. Somehow it ended up all alone, in solitary spleandour, looking down on surrounding lakes and broadacre grain country. Note the climbing schools, and you'll understand why this little township is known around the world.
