Hamilton
A thriving, cultured town at the heart of Victoria's most famous wool country. This heritage instills Hamilton with a unique character and inspires many of it's tourist attractions. Urban and proud of its history, Hamilton is ideally located if you're travelling in from the west, or coming up from the ruggedly beautiful coast. Keep an eye open for reminders of Sir Reginald Ansett, an Australian pioneer of transport and aviation. Not far from town, you'll discover Victoria's volcano precinct (are they extinct of merely dormant?), a dramatic reminder of the power that lurks deep below the surface of our land.
