Millicent

MillicentMillicent makes an ideal base for touring the South East. The Canunda National Park, the coastal towns of Southend and Beachport, and the Tantanoola Caves are all within easy reach, and all worthy of a visit. Further afield, the Blue Lake, the Coonawarra wine region and the historic town of Penola are also only a short drive away.

Millicent has everything for the tourist including excellent shopping facilities, quality accommodation, and most importantly friendly welcoming people. Millicent was proclaimed in 1870 when a township developed on the limestone ridge in the centre of the newly drained Millicent flats. It was named after Millicent Glen, wife of one of the early pioneers and daughter of the first Anglican bishop of Adelaide.
