Tewantin, to the north of Noosaville, is a small town located on the Noosa River. Boat hire is available and the area also features calm waters and a wealth of fishing opportunities and superb wildlife. Be sure to experience the fun of horse riding and camel rides along the sands across the river from the town.

The small, peaceful town of Boreen Point is located further north of Noosa on the banks of the pristine Lake Cootharaba. The charming coastal township offers a private getaway and boasts a wide variety of unusual wildlife including cormorants and osprey eagles. Offering safe anchorage within the extensive freshwater lake system for the boating and fishing enthusiast, visitors can also enjoy a pleasant bush stroll to a white sandy beach along nearby Teewah Landing. Further inland, Eumundi offers the popular and vibrant Saturday Markets and unusual Thunder Egg Farm where families have the opportunity to fossick for thunder eggs. Whilst in the area, the Butter Factory and Bainbridge Island Pottery are also well worth a visit.
