Burrum Heads & HowardSituated about 36km from Hervey Bay, Burrum Heads is a popular fishing village. In winter, visitors come when the whiting are running and in spring, they can enjoy the sight of Burrum Heads vibrant with wildflowers. Burrum Heads is all about relaxation. Howard is a typical Queensland country town, with high set timber houses with spacious verandahs setting the scene for a relaxing time just 20 minutes drive from the main centre of the region, Hervey Bay.

Howard's major tourist attraction is Brooklyn House. This historic home was built in 1890 for William Rankin, the manager of the Queensland Colleries Ltd mine at Howard.
