Welcome to Brisbane's History and Heritage
Heritage Trails let you discover the city's history at your own pace. The Trails take in historical buildings and sites such as the Old Windmill, and highlight places of interest around the city and suburbs. Many beautiful old buildings will take you back in time to a bygone age.
The fascinating Trails reveal many marvels of Queensland's colonial architecture including the restored Customs House, Newstead House, Old St Stephens Church, Old Government House and, of course, the majestic City Hall.
Guided walking tours are also available over some buildings and the Customs House has a gallery, cafe and bookshop. Local Aboriginal history is recorded on bush trails including one at Bellbird Grove in Brisbane Forest Park and an art trail at Mt Coot-tha.
