Shoalhaven Heads, Coolangatta

This popular holiday spot offers visitors good fishing in the river and from the beach as well as swimming, surfing and much more. Boat ramps are available and the beach is patrolled at weekends during the surfing season and school holidays.

Coolangatta was the birthplace of white settlement in the district. Early industries were dairying and ship building. Features of the town include the Coolangatta Historic Village Resort, estate wines and Bigfoot which travels to the summit of Mt Coolangatta.
