Kiama, Jamberoo, Gerringong
The village of Jamberoo, settled in the 1820s, is set in the picturesque Jamberoo Valley and features many historic buildings including a distinctive pub. Travelling through Jamberoo to Kiama and along to Gerringong and Gerroa one is constantly reminded of the green fields seeming almost to drop into the ocean. Surrounded by lush farmlands, mountains, great surfing beaches and the Seven Mile Beach National Park, Gerringong and Gerroa have much to offer the visitor.
Kiama is a joy to behold. Wherever you look the green of the hills is contrasted with the blue of the ocean, the yellow sands with the grey of the headland rock, while the deep green of the tall Norfolk Island pines is dotted everywhere. The town has some of the most picturesque caravan parks you are likely to find anywhere and many classic Kiama properties from the previous century are now home to luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation. Visually and historically, Kiama is an exciting place to visit.
