Autumn in the Blue Mountains
The Australian bush doesn't show seasonal changes in the same dramatic way as the softer vegetation of Europe, but in the wonderful temperate gardens that grow in the mild climate of the Mountains, the variation of colours is spectacular. In autumn, the gardens are at their glorious best. You will see the flaming reds, russet browns and golds in close contrast with the rich colours of the native trees and flowers.
Above all, it's a time for crisp mornings, days that are just made for a round of golf, a game of tennis or a brisk walk in the bush. And the evenings are cool. The city within a National Park offers countless opportunities to enjoy and have fun. Fascinating bushwalks, wilderness tours, horse riding and abseiling to name just a few. And of course there are no rules against simple relaxing and taking in the magnificent scenery.
