Car Parking : Free parking directly across the road.
When entering Thredbo from Jindabyne on the Alpine Way, turn right to the Village and continue past the roundabout at Friday Flat. The River Inn is located 150 meters along on the right hand side. Drive up to the front entrance for luggage and passenger unloading.

Getting There : Driving: Thredbo is around five hours drive from Sydney or Melbourne. The Kosciuszko Alpine Way between Thredbo and Jindabyne is clear of snow at most times during winter, so it is easily accessed by two wheel drive vehicle. Depending on conditions, every now and then snow chains may be required. These can be hired from most service stations in Jindabyne and Cooma. Coach: Daily services link Thredbo to most major centers. Flying: Most airlines service Canberra Airport from major Australian cities. Canberra Airport is two and a half hours from Thredbo. Coach transfers to and from airports can be arranged, and major car hire companies also operate from Canberra. A taxi would be approximately $250.00 each way and for shuttles ask the reception to arrange one for you before arrival. As Thredbo is located in the Kosciuszko National Park, fees are payable for entry. Passes are available at the park entry gate or the news agency located in the Village Square of Thredbo.
