Schouten House (formerly the Swansea Inn), was built in 1844 in the traditional grand Georgian style, by William Champion of Hobart, as a wedding gift for his daughter. Schouten House Circa 1844 is today Heritage Georgian Accommodation. Five queen ensuite rooms and one Family ensuite room (accommodates 3 people - has queen bed and single bed). Situated 1.5 hours from both Hobart and Launceston on the East Coast of Tasmania. AAA Four Star Rated. Well appointed Guest Lounge with open fire. Within walking distance of fine restaurants.
