Car Parking : Parking is available next to cabins or very near to cabins

Getting There : Quickest routes to Cradle Mountain : Devonport via Sheffield 1.25 hours Burnie via B18& 132 highways 1.5 hours Launceston via A1 highway & Sheffield 2 hours Launceston via A1 highway & Mole Creek 2.5 hours Hobart via Launceston & Sheffield 4.5 hours Hobart via Queenstown 6 hours The above routes are mainly on arterial highways. If you have the time, Tasmania has lots of interesting little towns which have now been by-passed by these highways. The entrance to Cradle Mountain Highlanders is 1.5 km before the entrance to Cradle Mountain National Park on the 132 highway. The cottages cannot be seen from the roadside; only a hand carved sign saying 'HIGHLANDERS' is situated on the right hand side of the road just past Cradle Information Centre (Shuttle bus terminus) and cafe bistro which is on your left. Drive up the laneway and you will find reception.
