Attractions in Canberra
Within Canberra's Parliamentary Triangle, you'll find most of Australia's most important national monuments such as Parliament House, Old Parliament House, the National Gallery of Australia and the Australian War Memorial all laid out along the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. As well as scenic tours, there are a multitude of other attractions including the National Capital Exhibition, The Royal Australian Mint, National Aquarium and Wildlife Sanctuary and the Red Hill Lookout
For something different, why not try shopping in Gold Creek Village, visiting the miniature English village of Cockington Green, finding out about Australia's own dinosaurs at the National Dinosaur Museum or watching a classic Australian film at the National Film and Sound Archive. Mt Stromlo Observatory and the Canberra Deep Space Communications Complex are two other fascinating destinations for the visitor as are the various reserves, historic buildings, craft centres and galleries throughout the Canberra region.
