Canberra is an easy 3 1/2 hour drive from Sydney on the Hume Highway or about 8 hours, including stops, from Melbourne. From wildlife to nightlife, from national monuments to National Parks, from observatories to conservatories and physical culture to viticulture, Canberra is a city of many parts. And while some of them are more obvious, others take a little more discovering.. To start with, the sun shines a lot here. More than in Sydney, Melbourne or the Gold Coast.
Canberra has so much to offer the visitor including the Parliamentary triangle, spectacular lookouts, wineries, the arts, history, outdoor activities, numerous entertainment options after dark and a wealth of festivals and exhibitions to enjoy.
